In this workshop we:

  • Remember our warrior nature which is the protector/power we all have within us. Our power is innate and can not be taken even in systems of oppression, we just need reminding. 

  • Build self love habits and practice safety skills in a fun way.

  • Learn simple yet effective strikes that are accessible to all abilities.

Story

This workshop comes from my own journey of self hate to self love. Part of that process was through learning kick-boxing in my mentor's martial arts dojo.

My workshop addresses how to detangle ourselves from the hate that systems of oppression put onto us. Therefore my workshop is for all marginalized genders. I am a cisgender woman, making me far more privileged in these systems of hate, so I do not hold the lived experiences that trans and non-binary people carry. However, I wish to offer these vital self protection skills to all marginalized genders for free. I strongly believe these life saving tools should be shared with all who face threats to their body's safety. All I ask for is feedback.
